El Negro Más Chulo: African by Legacy, Mexican by Birth - Via intimate portraiture and literature this project introduces Afro Mexicans living on the Pacific and Gulf Coasts of Mexico. Through the poetic rendering of literal, visual, and historic accounts, “El Negro Mas Chulo” traces the shaping of contemporary Afro Mexican roots while exposing this under recognized segment of the Diaspora.
